Prizes were awarded by a panel of judges for the best, most pertinent questions and most original contributions.

The prizes were awarded at a ceremony to be held in Nairobi on November 27.
The Mbegu Trust is a Nairobi-based charity established to fund and promote the development of education in East Africa. [Website]
